Engineer-architect Pauline De Schryver founded her Ghent-based architecture practice in 2012. Her diverse projects span office, hospitality, and residential spaces, and are defined by a strong sense of context, an intuitive use of color, and in-depth research. How can architecture create space for multifunctional and therefore more sustainable use? How can the stories embedded in a building’s history be woven into its future?

Large-scale renovations – from pre-industrial farmhouses to listed modernist buildings and 1970s homes – continuously refine her architectural language and have strengthened her expertise in current regulations.

Pauline De Schryver graduated in 2010 with a degree in Architectural Design and Construction Techniques from Ghent University. She has previously collaborated with Universal Design Studio, Poulissen & Partners, Architecten Achtergael, and Beel & Achtergael Architecten. Her recent projects include the renovations of Marengo and Café Jules, two historic hospitality venues in the center of Ghent.

Operating under VAT number BE 0829771058, Pauline De Schryver is officially registered with the Orde van Architecten and the Provincial Council of East Flanders, adhering to its deontological code.
